The Best Lisbon Airport Hotels (with Shuttles)
Early flight, late arrival or a short layover? Lisbon’s airport is unusually close to the city, but sometimes it’s easiest to sleep right next to it. Here are the best Lisbon airport hotels, with shuttle information, plus a smart alternative a few metro stops away.
Quick answer: the closest are the Meliá Lisboa Aeroporto (with a free shuttle every 15 minutes from 4am and breakfast from 4am) and Star inn Lisbon Airport (a 5–10 minute walk to Terminal 1). For value, ibis Styles Lisboa Aeroporto (free shuttle). For more choice of restaurants, stay in Parque das Nações, a few stops away on the metro.

The best airport hotels
1. Meliá Lisboa Aeroporto
The former TRYP Lisboa Aeroporto, about 100m from the terminal, with a free shuttle every 15 minutes from 4am, breakfast from 4am for early flights, and a spa with pools. The top pick for early departures. Check prices
2. Star inn Lisbon Airport
A simple, modern hotel a 5–10 minute walk from Terminal 1, with a free scheduled shuttle (though walking is usually quicker). Good value. Check prices
3. ibis Styles Lisboa Aeroporto
About 1km away in Prior Velho, with a free airport shuttle. Bright, friendly and budget-friendly. Check prices
4. Holiday Inn Express Lisboa Aeroporto
About 5 minutes’ drive away, with breakfast included. The shuttle is paid. Check prices
5. Radisson Blu Lisbon (Campo Grande)
About 2km away, 100m from the metro, so it’s easy to get into the city too. There’s a free morning shuttle to the airport (hotel to airport only). Check prices
The smart alternative: Parque das Nações
Just a few stops from the airport on the red metro line (or 5–10 minutes by taxi), Lisbon’s riverside district has more restaurants and things to do, including the Oceanário. Try the Meliá Lisboa Oriente or the good-value Moxy Lisboa Oriente. See Parque das Nações.
Do you need an airport hotel?
- Lisbon’s airport is close: about 20 minutes by taxi or 25–40 minutes by metro to the centre. For most flights, staying in the city is fine.
- Book an airport hotel for flights before about 8am, late-night arrivals or a short layover.
- Allow time for queues: the new EES border checks can mean long waits. See Portugal entry requirements.
