- The beachfront (Praia): right on the action, with restaurants and the promenade.
- Sítio: the clifftop village reached by the funicular, quieter and with the views towards the big-wave lighthouse.
- Pederneira: the old hilltop village above town, peaceful with views.
Tips
- Big-wave season: October to March. Hotels fill on days when a big swell is forecast.
- Summer: the beach is packed and prices peak in August.
- Combine with Óbidos, Fátima and the Silver Coast.
