The Algarve in Autumn
Autumn may be the Algarve’s best-kept secret: the sea is at its warmest in September, the summer crowds and prices drop, and the weather stays warm well into October. It’s ideal for beach days, golf and coastal walks. Here’s what to expect.
Quick answer: September is still hot and sunny (around 27°C) with the warmest sea of the year. October is warm and pleasant (around 23°C), with occasional rain. November is milder and wetter, but still often sunny. Prices fall after the school holidays.
