NOS Alive 2027: Festival Guide for Lisbon
NOS Alive is Lisbon’s biggest summer music festival: three days of international headliners on the riverfront at Algés, just west of the city. Here’s what’s confirmed for 2027, what tickets cost and how to get there and back.
Quick answer: NOS Alive 2027 runs from Thursday 8 to Saturday 10 July at the Passeio Marítimo de Algés. Day tickets cost €89, three-day passes €210. Tame Impala, sombr and The Neighbourhood are confirmed. Take the train from Cais do Sodré to Algés (about 10 minutes), and don’t drive.

What is NOS Alive?
The festival began in 2007 as Oeiras Alive! and has been NOS Alive, after its telecoms sponsor, since 2015. It fills a long riverside strip on the Tagus in the municipality of Oeiras, and recent editions have drawn about 160,000 people over three days. In 2026 there were eight stages, from the main Palco NOS and the covered Palco Heineken to the WTF Clubbing dance stage, a comedy stage and a fado café.
2027 dates and line-up
The 19th edition runs from Thursday 8 to Saturday 10 July 2027. As of early October 2026, three acts are confirmed, all on the Palco NOS: The Neighbourhood on Thursday 8 July, and Tame Impala and sombr (his first show in Portugal) on Saturday 10 July. No names have been announced for Friday yet. More acts follow over the coming months, so check nosalive.com.
Tickets and prices
| Ticket | Price (2027) |
|---|---|
| Day ticket | €89 |
| Two-day pass | €178 |
| Three-day pass | €210 |
Tickets went on sale on 21 August 2026 on nosalive.com and at the usual outlets. No early-bird discount had been announced when we checked, and booking fees may be added at checkout. The three-day pass saves about €57 on three day tickets.
- Book early: in 2026 the three-day pass and two of the three days sold out.
- Wristbands: passes are swapped for a wristband on your first day.
- Avoid resale sites: tickets are personal, and resellers charge well above face value.
Getting there
Train
The CP Cascais line runs from Cais do Sodré to Algés in about 10 minutes, and the site is a short walk from the station. Pay with zapping on your navegante card, or load the €11.40 24-hour Carris/Metro/CP pass, which runs from your first tap, so it can cover the ride home too.
Tram and bus
Tram 15 runs from Praça da Figueira through Belém to Algés, its last stop, but it’s slower. Carris buses 729, 750 and 751 and many Carris Metropolitana routes also stop at Algés. See Lisbon trams.
Getting back at night
This is the hard part: tens of thousands of people head for Algés station after the headliners, so expect queues. In 2026 there were extra trains to Cais do Sodré and Cascais from about 1:45am to 4am, Carris night shuttles to Cais do Sodré, Santa Apolónia, Marquês de Pombal and Oriente, and extra ferries. A similar plan is usually published shortly before the festival.
Staying further along the coast? Since April 2026, replacement buses have run between Caxias and Cascais in the evenings because of track works, so check cp.pt for July 2027.
Driving and taxis
Don’t drive: there’s no festival parking at the site. Uber and Bolt waits are long after the shows and surge pricing is no longer capped, so the train is quicker and cheaper.
What to bring
Bags are searched, and only small bags (about A4 size) are allowed. Under the 2026 rules:
- Allowed: a plastic water bottle up to 50cl with its cap, sun cream up to 100ml, individual snacks and a power bank no bigger than a phone.
- Not allowed: glass, cans, metal bottles, lunchboxes, alcohol, umbrellas, chairs, selfie sticks, professional cameras and pushchairs.
- Cloakroom: banned items can be left by the ticket office, outside the site, for €1 each.
On the day
- Hours: in 2026 the gates opened at 3pm (2pm on the first day) and the site closed at 4am.
- Re-entry: not allowed on a day ticket. Pass wristbands let you in and out.
- Age: the minimum age is 6, and children from 6 need a ticket.
- Food and drink: plenty of food stalls and bars, with drinks in reusable cups. Expect festival prices.
- Payment: the 2027 payment details weren’t published when we checked. Bring a contactless card or phone plus a little cash, and read the official FAQ before you go.
Where to stay
- Cais do Sodré: direct trains to Algés and late bars, but noisy. See Cais do Sodré.
- Belém: the closest part of Lisbon, one train stop from Algés, and quiet at night. See Belém.
- Oeiras and the Cascais line: beaches by day, and the festival trains ran there in 2026. Check the replacement buses past Caxias.
Book early. Lisbon’s tourist tax is €4 per person per night (age 13 and over, up to seven nights), and Cascais also charges €4. See where to stay in Lisbon.
Stay close: Belém is one stop from the festival. See places to stay in Belém.
Lisbon in July
Expect highs of 28–30°C, occasional heatwaves and little shade on the site, so bring a hat and sun cream. The sun sets at about 9pm, and the headliners play after dark. Back in Lisbon, shops and bars can’t sell alcohol to take away after 11pm from Sunday to Thursday, or after midnight on Fridays and Saturdays. See Portugal in July and Lisbon nightlife.
