Portugal Wine Itinerary: 10 Days Through the Wine Regions
Portugal is one of Europe’s most exciting wine countries, with fortified ports and Madeiras, crisp vinho verde, big Alentejo reds and wines aged in clay pots. This 10-day itinerary takes you through the best wine regions, from the Minho to the Alentejo.
Quick answer: Days 1 and 2: Porto and the Gaia port lodges. Day 3: vinho verde country in the Minho. Days 4 to 6: the Douro Valley, staying at a quinta. Day 7: Lisbon and Setúbal Moscatel. Days 8 to 10: the Alentejo around Évora. Use tours or a driver for tastings.
